Dear Rich: I was hired to write a blog for an apparel company. So, I did and everything was fine until I started slipping personal opinions in. I told the company that readers want personal opinions and that was part of blogging. They said no and that if I kept putting my opinions in, they'd fire me. What I'm wondering is where the first amendment fits into all this. The first amendment won't be of much help in a battle with your employer. Our
office mate (and fellow
blogger) is the expert on that subject and we'll defer to her
article (and her
book).
